Recipes: French Onion Soup & Hungarian Cabbage and Noodles

We got a lot of comments from last weekend's post on the French onion soup mention so I wanted to share the full recipe for my version now that it's published.

French onion soup is actually a very simple soup to make, so long as you have all the ingredients on hand. It's also my daughter, Stephanie's, favorite soup.

Find the full recipe in one of my latest guest post for Lot18 here.

On a related note, since this dish is so close to my heart, I also wanted to share the recipe for Hungarian cabbage and noodles:

This is one of those comfort foods that goes way back in my roots. Mary had never had the dish before we started dated, but she instantly became hooked after I made it for her years ago and also looks forward to it when cabbage comes back in season.

Find the full recipe in my latest guest post for Lot18 here.

From our kitchen to yours — hope you are also enjoying some of your seasonal favorites!

  1. This all looks amazing! We do french onion soup, but I have never tried the Hungarian cabbage and noodles. Both Rusty and I think it looks amazing. Going to have to give that one a try this coming weekend :)

  2. Oh, I forgot how much we both loved French Onion Soup. We used to eat it all the time in college.

I'm going to make it this weekend.

    Thanks.

  3. Tim and Mary, thank you for linking this in to Food on Friday. We are now starting to get quite a collection of onion dishes together. Do stop by some of the other links to check them out!

Ps I have just signed up to follow your blog. A follow back to Carole's Chatter would be wonderful – or have you already followed? Cheers
