Our home is a row style house located in an area of Richmond known as "The Fan" for the way the city streets fan out from one another. The house was built in 1911 and falls within a historic district that preserves the architectural elements of these old homes.

EVOLUTION OF THE EXTERIOR
When moved into our home it was painted yellow. Soon thereafter it began cracking and peeling in way that looked less "charming" than "rough." We updated the paint to a colonial gray in line with our neighborhood's historic guidelines and just love the fresh, classic feel. Catch up on all the background details and see what our house looked like painted yellow right here!
