Ever since stumbling across this amazing find of an antique ladder (with tons of local history) at a nearby alley sale, we've grown to love the idea of using old ladders as decorative storage for otherwise tight spaces. It's amazing how versatile ladders can be, housing the ability to solve storage dilemmas for almost every room of the house — living rooms, bathrooms, closets, shelving, the garden — even overhead storage!

We ended up using our own vintage ladder to store throw blankets in our living room, and have rounded up 5 more of our favorite ways to repurpose old ladders into functional (and beautiful) storage for your home over on eHow.
